Hi there, I was priveledged to meet Jo on her flight to Los Angeles (I was crew working on the flight). What a girl!! In fact what a family. I am writing this message to say good luck Jo, you've certainly earned some luck. I hope the next month is succesful and will keep checking your progress. Great to meet you. Hilary
My name is Steve and i live in Phoenix Arizona. I got your link from Carmen and was inspired by you and your story which prompted me to both donate and leave you this message. I just thought you should know that there is someone close to your familiy that is also realtively close in proximity that is praying for you and hoping you come out of this with the best result humanly possible.
Looking forward to having Carmen tell me the good news.
I am so lucky to have the family I have. My mother in law has come from France to be with us for the past week and her help has been invaluable. She has helped me keep the family home running and helped my daughter get the attention she needs to feel happy and confidant at this difficult time. My Grandparents, Mum, Dad and his wife are on hand and on the phone everyday and my Dad often accompanies me to the Doctors for moral support and just to alleviate the boredom of waiting for Dr's appointments. I have a large family on Holyhead Island. They have been doing some fantastic fundraising events but all the more importantly we keep in touch every day via facebook and they fill me love and support constantly and knowing they are their and thinking of me means so much. My fantastic cousins in Southampton are an inspiration and are doing every thing they can in every way to help. I also have a wonderful family in Grimsby who again have been hosting fundraising events as well as sending me constant messages of encouragement and hope.
I have another family, my friends and without my close girlfriends I don't think i would have got this far. they are their to sound off at, to cry on and to laugh with. They are fundraising, they are a constant source of ideas to raise money and ways to keep my spirits up. they come to hospital appointments they cheer me up when ever i am down but most of all they are supremely patient with my moments of madness, fear and depression and they always seem to say the right thing when I need it. Are there words to express my gratitude? No there are none. but I hope you all know. I love you more than words can say and when I am better i will show you all some how how much you mean to me and what your strength and courage has meant to me over these past two years and all of my life.
Hi Everyone, I'm part of Jo's family and I will try and do everything I can to support her during this tough time. I firmly believe that Jo can overcome this horrible disease and triumph to help others in similar situations.
Even though I live about 300 miles away and have not seen her for a while I still think about her every day and (as a therapist) I do my own surrogate therapy for her...Keep strong my sweet girl and never give up....love you loads.....xx
